Top Bass Fishing Tip
By Angus MacLeod
When it comes to bass fishing it may not look too difficult, but without the proper bass fishing tips it can actually be a difficult experience. The proper bass fishing tips is the difference between catching nothing and catching the record setting bass. No matter what type of bass you are fishing for consider the following bass fishing tips to help you out on your next fishing trip. Even though they may sound the same, cover and structure are actually two very different things. Cover is something that fish can use to hide while structure is something that will change the bottom of the lake. When it comes to bass fishing tips you are likely wondering which the best is when it comes to fishing. The answer can really vary depending entirely on where you are bass fishing, what time of the year it is and how you are fishing.
Bass fishing tips will commonly tell you that it is best to have a combination of both of these. Use your electronics to try and fish structures that you can't see with your eyes. Match up these structures with some good cover such as downed trees or plants. These types of areas are going to be the places where you can find the largest grouping of bass. The larger the group of bass the better chance you will have of catching a bigger fish.
Choosing A Casting Method
While casting may seem simple it is actually one of the biggest bass fishing tips you can get. Take the time to practice your casting method in your backyard for awhile so you can not only have a more enjoyable time when you fish but you will have a better chance of catching that big bass. As with most casting methods it is always important to remember to use your wrist when casting and not your arm.
When possible try to cast beyond your target so that you will make a quieter approach to the bass. This is very important with bass fishing since the fish typically prefer quiet areas. Then you should make sure you are far away from your target location as possible but also make sure you are close enough to cast your lure accurately. The rod tip should be loaded so that it bends backwards when you are casting which will allow for a smoother release which helps for a quieter approach as well.
