By Andrew Kelly

The Nokia Corporation is a Finnish based company which is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Originally, Nokia began operation in 1865, on the banks of the Nokia rapids, as a pulp mill.

Through a series of acquisitions the company grew and diversified their product line. One of those acquisitions was the Finnish Cable Works. This particular company produced cables that were used to transmit telephone and telegraph signals. The acquiring of this company began the Nokia Corporation down the profitable communications road.

Currently, Nokia produces the biggest share of cellular phones that are available on the market today. In addition to the production of cellular phones, Nokia's products include the manufacturing of telecommunications equipment necessary for use with internet connections. Another successful line of communication products is the Nokia Blue tooth technology.

Nokia Blue Tooth Technology

Nokia Blue tooth technology allows for different devices to "speak to each other" through radio waves rather than through the attachment of cumbersome wires. This communication between the devices is accomplished through installed micro chips that can be found in the separate units. The Nokia Blue tooth technology can provide this wireless link between cellular phones, electronic notebooks and digital cameras.

Nokia Blue tooth radio waves operate at a 2.4 GHz frequency. Use of this frequency does not require the use of licensing.

Nokia Blue Tooth BH 900

One particular item within the Nokia Blue tooth line of products is the BH 900 headset. This headset provides a wireless connection to a cell phone and allows the user to listen and speak to the individual at the other end of the conversation.

This convenient way of safely communicating is accomplished by activating the headset and fitting the ear piece over the outer ear. For convenience either ear can be used to support the headset. Also, in regards to the ear clip, this particular Nokia Blue tooth headset allows for a firm fit over the ear. This is especially useful when engaging in an active lifestyle.

An adjustable microphone is an additional feature of the BH 900. This telescopic feature enhances the style and comfort of the headset as well as meeting the specific vocal needs of the user.

The BH 900 is equipped with three separate controls. These controls allow for the activation of the headset, increase or decrease the volume, provide a redial option and voice activated function.

The Nokia Blue tooth BH 900 utilizes DSP technology and Bluetooth 2.0 in its performance. Digital Signal Processing is technology that utilizes the processing provided by a computer to capture and translate the signals that are transmitted through electronic communication.
