Chocolate Covered Pretzels: A Delicious Holiday Treat

It can be hard around the holidays, what with all of the options that are available to us, but chocolate covered pretzels can quite easily be considered as one of the best and most delicious recipes of all. Chocolate covered pretzels are also weird in the way that they are made up of two things that you would not normally think would taste good together: chocolate and pretzels.

However, the combination actually turns out to be incredibly delicious, and this is why they are such a favorite among people in the world today. Chocolate covered pretzels can basically be found at any local supermarket, and you can usually get them for a very cheap price. Or, if you are more daring, you can actually even make your own chocolate covered pretzels.

Making Your own Chocolate Covered Pretzels

In order to make your own, what you need is: pretzels and semi-sweet morsels; in order to make them all you need to do is heat the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler or heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth, and then you dip the pretzels in with a fork and remove to wax paper, then refrigerate uncovered until the chocolate is firm, or for about 30 minutes.

This is one of the most favored recipes out of all, especially during the holiday season, and just remember that if you are too lazy to actually make your own, you can go out and it is incredibly easy to find them in most stores; another great idea is that you can buy them already made and packaged, and then still melt your own chocolate and add onto what chocolate is already on there.

This will not only make them that much more decadent, but as well, they will be fresher and so you are sure to love the taste of them that much more. There are also a number of different companies that make them, and so you may have to try a few before you decide on which ones are your favorite; basically if you remember that anything with Nestle chocolate on it will be fantastic, then this might help you in your search.

This is definitely a fantastic treat, and the best part is that most people love them and so if you put them out at a Christmas party, for instance, then you are sure to get a great response.
