During the holidays, one cannot enter a store and not find some types of a Christmas door decoration for sale. For those that are not especially interested in arts and crafts, but still want to be able to have a nice Christmas door decoration, there are a variety of options.

The first and perhaps the most popular types of Christmas door decoration is that of a Christmas wreath. These wreaths can be purchased in small or quite large sizes, depending on how big the front door is. Also, while one could purchase a wreath that is fake and then save it for use year after year, another option is to buy a wreath made out of pine needles for a nice smell to greet one every time one walks through the door.

Another popular Christmas door decoration is that of a single large bow with long ends. While traditionally this bow is made out of velvet ribbon and is a festive red in color, one can always purchase wide ribbon from a craft store and construct one's own from any pattern of ribbon that one likes.

An especially festive Christmas door decoration is a single strand of sleigh bells. These sleigh bells can be either silver or gold in color, and are generally attached to a leather belt which is then hung on the door. This is a great decoration to have in a house with children, because each time someone walks through the front door, they can imagine that it is Santa Claus.

Of course, one does not always have to buy ready-made Christmas door decorations, because there is always the option of making one's own. One idea is to place Christmas wrapping paper all over the front door and attaching a bow to make it look like a present.

One can also purchase these decorations online, or visit various websites for more ideas on how to make one's own. Indeed, a Christmas door decoration is a fun and creative way to greet this special holiday.
