T Fal cookware, you will be making your life so much easier!
T Fal - A History
If you've ever experimented in the kitchen, you know that using non-stick cookware can make all the difference. But did you know that you have T Fal to thank for this nifty invention? T Fal cookware was the first to be non-stick. In 1954, Marc Gregoire invented a process that allowed aluminum to bond with PolyTetraFluorEthylene (PTFE), thus creating the first non-stick pan. In 1956, Gregoire established the TEFAL Company in Sarcelles, France.
The company began by producing 3,100 T Fal cookware pieces a month, but by 1961 word had reached America of this non-sticking wonder and the company produced over 1 million per month! Since then, T Fal cookware has set the precedent for many other cookware companies.
The First of Many Firsts
Not only was T Fal the first to invent non-stick T Fal cookware, but they were the first to launch many other innovation as well. In 1987, T Fal introduced the first cool wall plastic deep fryer, and in 1990 the company introduced the first iron range with integrated ant-scale protection, which they called Aquagliss. But they didn't stop there. In 1994, T Fal created the first deep fryer with a removable non-stick bowl. The world saw the first heat indicator built into the non-stick coating of a frying pan in the year 2000, another T Fal cookware invention. As you can see, T Fal has been the pioneer in all aspects of cookware since they invented non-stick cookware in 1954.
