Keep Healthy With Natural Dental Care
By John Fraser
Many of us have turned to natural remedies in order to avoid harsh chemicals that can usually have some side effects of the other in the long run. There are many natural dental care remedies that can be adopted with ease in order to ensure that you always have the bright smile everyone enjoys as well as healthy teeth. In the ancient times people would chews certain plants and herbs to clean their teeth, such as the extracts of spearmint and peppermint which we also see added in many toothpastes. Of course in the 21st century you are not going to chew herbs and plants in order to ensure the proper health of your teeth and gums and you don't have to, as herbal toothpaste is available in all drug and department stores. Green tea extracts, essential oils from tea tree will also work wonders when applied with your fingertips on the teeth and gums; it gives a fresh feeling while providing protecting from bacteria and tartar. You will find natural dental care products in drug and department stores; read carefully the labels as some of the essential oils should not be applied in the concentrate as it need diluting.
Essential Natural Dental Care
The essential natural dental care that everyone one of us must follow in order to ensure that we have clean, healthy teeth that maintain their natural shine is: brushing your teeth twice a day and definitely before going to bed; brushing your teeth before going to bed is probably more important then brushing them during the day because when you sleep if there is any food particles left in your mouth, they will ferment, rot and form cavities.
Rinse your mouth after every meal with a mouthwash or at least with water if you don't have a mouthwash to ensure you don't have any food particles left in the mouth that can encourage cavities. You should floss as often as possible or at least once a day to ensure that no food remains is stuck between your teeth and thus, will encourage cavities.
Helpful Tips
Replace your toothbrush every six months or earlier if necessary in order to have powerful enough bristles to remove food particles efficiently with every single brush as well as not hurt your gums in the process. Most of the natural dental care comes from listening to your body and using common sense, as most of the oral hygiene products are made with ingredients that will not cause side effects and/or hurt us by using them.
