The Easter Tree Is a Wonderful Story
By Audrey Sneddon

The story of the Easter tree begins with life itself. According to the story about the Easter tree, it grew in the garden at the beginning of time. The tall Easter tree was a great home for the birds, and Adam and Eve sang together under the shade of the tree. Trouble started when the devil appeared in the form of a serpent. The trouble in the garden began with a cold spell that covered all the creatures in the garden. The Easter tree stood lonely as all of the creatures in the garden left because of the trouble. The Easter tree was covered in ice and pleaded with God to send the creatures back to the garden.

God then sent an angel to take a seed from the Easter tree, and the angel gave the seed to Adam and Eve. They were supposed to take the seed of the Easter tree and plant it so the likeness of the tree would reappear one day to shelter the creatures like before. When the seed grew again, the birds would return, and the children would sing with joy again. According to the story of the tree, Noah took a seed from the tree and planted it. He took wood from the tree to build his ark before the world flooded. He got onto his ark and all of the animals blessed the tree when they were saved from the flood.

The Easter Tree Continues to the Present

After the great flood, a child took a seed from the tree to plant. Later, Mary planted a seed from the Easter tree in Bethlehem when her son, Jesus, was born there. The tiny child crushed the serpent that first appeared in the garden. The world grew warm when Jesus was born. When Jesus died, people looked for a tree and found the one in Bethlehem. When Jesus arose from the dead, all of the people rejoiced for him. The tree was the Easter tree, and the bird's in it started to sing again.

Everyone rejoiced when Jesus Christ arose from the dead because they felt that he had saved them from the evil in the world. The Easter tree is a story that is often repeated in the churches and homes during the Easter season. The children listen to this story and years later, they tell this story to their own children.
