Golf Rules Keep Courses Pleasant
By Angus MacLeod
Golfers take their game very seriously, and the game is difficult. This means that the game is sometimes very upsetting to the serious golfers. Their tempers can flare, but the golf rules should keep them from disturbing other golfers. Golfers share marvelous courses with many other golfers during the course of the day. These courses remain beautiful because some of the golf rules that dictate how all golfers should take care of the courses. At any one time, there could be many golfers on one course. Some golf slower than others, and some hit their balls in strange ways. The rules keep everyone sharing the course civil to their fellow golfers so everyone enjoys their time on the course.
Golf courses are usually very beautiful, and there are people employed to keep them in great shape. The work these people do will be useless if the golfers playing on the courses do not follow the golf rules for the use of the courses. The grass that is carefully watered and cut by the professionals in charge of maintenance will be easily destroyed if the golfers do not follow the official rules. Hundreds of golfers take a chunk out of the grass with many swings. If the golfers do not follow the official rules, the grass will disappear.
Golf Rules Keep Tempers In Check
Some golfers are better than others, and some golfers are faster than others. These people all play on the same course, and if they do not follow the official rules for playing the course, a golfer could annoy all of the others. If a golfer keeps taking extra shots, they might slow everyone else down and annoy those on the course. If they follow the golf rules, they should avoid annoying the other golfers.
Golfers end up playing with complete strangers at times. If the whole group does not know the golf rules, there could be dissention in the group. If everyone in the group follows the official golf rules, the strangers should play well together. Golfers should keep score, and the golf rules explain how to keep score. If everyone follows these golf rules, the game will be a pleasant experience for everyone. Golf rules have been developed to make the courses pleasant for all of those playing on each course. All golfers should follow the golf rules so everyone enjoys the game each and every time.
