Nobody Enjoys A Constant Headache

Most of the time when you have a constant headache it is because you have a tension headache, which is very common. You can get a constant headache from any type of stress, from changes in temperature or weather, from not getting enough rest, or by eating the wrong types of food. These headaches cause pain and tension to your head and make your neck and back muscles tighten.
What You Need To Know About Constant Headaches
Some of the symptoms of a constant headache include pain and tension in your neck, back and head, as well as emotional fluctuations. It only makes sense that if you have a constant headache you may be more temperamental. This means that not only may you act irresponsibly, but it also means that you will have less energy and attention to use in accomplishing the tasks that you have in front of you. If you are trying to work with a constant headache, you will probably find that it is difficult to concentrate and do your job. Of course, this is also true for students who may not be able to focus on their schoolwork.
Usually, a tension headache develops more gradually than a migraine headache. However, your pain from having a constant headache may last from hours to even years. Usually you will feel pain throughout the entire day without a break. Of course, the intensity of your headache may vary from hour to hour. These headaches rarely begin during childhood or adolescence. They usually begin once a person hits middle age and more women than men have them.
If you have a constant headache, you should consult your doctor if they are interfering you're your daily life. Another reason for contacting your doctor is if your constant headache is occurring more frequently or more intensely. One thing that you do not want to do is indulge in self-medication. Taking an excessive amount of painkillers in order to ease your pain is not going to change your headache's symptoms. In addition, you need call your doctor immediately if your severe headache begins suddenly and causes you to feel weak, numb or dizzy as well.
In case you are not ready to contact your doctor, there are some things you can try like using an ice pack on your head and neck, take a hot shower, or get some rest.
