After all, how much time during a vacation, do you really spend in your hotel room? Why should you pay exorbitant prices for it, for a mere 8-10 hours of sleeping time? In any case, what are the basic needs of any normal person? Just a clean room, a clean bed and a clean bathroom (and toilet). You will get all these at any (most) discount hotel(s), if you adopt the right strategy of booking it.

Secrets About Booking Discount Hotels

In this world (and maybe all others that exist), you can achieve anything you put your mind to – provided you are perseverant enough. Booking a discount hotel need not give you nightmarish images of dinginess and compromises. You can have an exceptionally good hotel give you a good discount on booking, if you know the right process. The following few lines will show you a few secrets that can help you get the best deals with discount hotels for the least effort:

1. Book in advance – Here when I say ‘advance' I mean quite ahead in time, i.e. 2-3 (or even more) months ahead of time. Often advance bookings are given up to 30 percent discounts. Note: most of the advance bookings would require a down payment, which could be forfeited if you cancel the booking less than 72 hours before the due date.

2. Book on the Internet – keep at least half a day free for this purpose. Sit with a relaxed mind and go through the net, searching for websites that promise you discount airfares and discount hotels bookings. There are a good number of excellent websites, which make it their business to know all that is there to know about such deals.

3. All members of AAA can avail fabulous offers, such as discounts at car-rentals and discount hotels – yes, this might be something that many people did not know. All the AAA members are offered heavy discounts on room rents in a good majority of hotels. You might like to use this trump card if you or anyone on your family is a member of this group.

4. Visit off-season – this is another exceptionally easy was to get heavy discounts in the best of best hotels. Visiting a famous tourist destination during the off-season is not as odd as you might think. Check out carefully what the weather would be in the off-season. If the answer seems okay with you, then use that time to enjoy the destination. You will find that the place is great without the hoo-ha of the touring inflow.
