The time has come to embark on that arduous job of house and bathroom cleaning once again. Now, exactly how arduous a task the house and bathroom cleaning is will depend on how many people live in the house, as well as how messy they are. Regardless of how clean everyone is, house and bathroom cleaning is something that must be done for obvious sanitary reasons.

Cleaning the Bathroom

When it comes to house and bathroom cleaning, cleaning the bathroom is something that most people would prefer to avoid doing. However, the bathroom needs to be cleaned at least once a week if it is used frequently to prevent against germs (this is especially necessary during cold and flu season).

Start by washing the shower and the tub. It is important to get any residue off of the tiles on the bathroom wall as well. Next, move on to clean the bathroom sink. Next is the job of cleaning the toilet. Finally, clean the floor and finish off by spraying the room with disinfectant and replacing the bathroom towels. It should be noted that for cleanliness purposes, you should use rubber gloves while cleaning.

Cleaning the Rest of the House

When it comes to cleaning the rest of the house, there is one important thing that you should have, and that is a vacuum cleaner. Be aware, however, that a gentle broom should be used on wooden floor surfaces to avoid scratching. The vacuum you have should have extra nozzles that allow to clean stairs and the tops of cabinets.

Another place that those extra vacuum cleaner nozzles come in handy are for cleaning in between the cushions in the couches. You would be surprised at how much can be found under a cushion!

Of course, another important aspect in both house and bathroom cleaning is getting rid of dust. Dust can aggravate allergies and not to mention make a house look completely drab. Dust used to be picked up with a duster or a rag, but they didn't actually get rid of the dust, they just moved it around. Nowadays, you can buy a Swiffer duster, which does a great job at trapping dust particles.

The most important thing about house and bathroom cleaning is to pace yourself and not to tire yourself out. Take one room at a time, and go slowly if possible. If you do so, you will complete your cleaning without feeling tired, and you will have a home that is sanitary.
