You can even expand the list to include things you want done on a quarterly, semi-annual and yearly time table such as deep cleaning carpet and linoleum and even waxing certain floors. This can be even more important if you plan to hire a professional cleaning service so there will be no doubt about what you expect to be done as part of your weekly house cleaning schedule.

Checklist Helps Assure Tasks Are Completed

If your weekly house cleaning schedule turns out to have more than few items on the list, you might consider putting it together as a check list to mark each item off when completed. That way when you finish the last job and look at the list and all checks are completed, then there is no doubt you are done. This is especially helpful if you are trying to teach children responsibility.

Items you may want to include on your weekly house cleaning schedule could include vacuuming your carpets and making sure that all loose dirt is swept up to keep it from becoming like sandpaper on the fabric or on wood or tile floors. Scrubbing carpets could probably be on a monthly schedule depending on the amount of foot traffic they receive.
