The level of success that your jewelry making business has depends enormously upon your ability to read the trends in jewelry fashions. There are always going to be demands for standard designs of earrings, necklaces bangles and rings but there are times when a particular type of jewelry becomes very fashionable. Such an example is when the movie Jurassic Park was first released and there was an upsurge in the interest in the science of the film. Many TV programs showed an ancient fly or other small creatures trapped in amber. This created an incredible demand for amber jewelry and to this day it remains a very popular material in jewelry making. Your choice of jewelry making materials is huge. Local craft shows are an excellent starting point as it is highly likely that you will meet other traders who are willing to offer much help and advice. Furthermore attendance will give you the opportunity to see what others are selling and you will soon learn what is popular and what isn't.
