The good thing about using a silver cloth to clean your tortoise jewelry is that the silver cloth could remove the any tarnish that could damage the tortoise stone. If you cannot find any silver cloth to clean your tortoise jewelry, you can just use a soft cloth with a small amount of water and then polish the stone.
