Landscaping Shrubs Serve Many Purposes
By Jim Carpenter
Landscaping shrubs serve many different purposes for those dedicated to creating beautiful scenery. Shrubs can be used as barriers to keep people in or out. Shrubs can be used to show the boundaries of a property if you do not want others to tread across your lawn or knock on your door. These will not stop criminals, but most other people will recognize a shrub as a boundary and will probably respect the privacy of others. Shrubs can be used to provide sections in a large area in need of landscaping. These might be used to separate a pool from the rest of a large yard.
There are some gorgeous landscaping shrubs that have flowers to attract the birds to the area. These landscaping shrubs usually attract the birds because they have parts that birds will eat. These will add their beauty and attract splendid flocks of birds that also add to the enchantment of a garden. A beautiful blue bird or robin resting on the patio will make a garden come alive. The occupant relaxing in the garden will surely enjoy the advantages of landscaping shrubs. The flowering shrubs are magnificent when in bloom, but their greenery is also beautiful once the blooms have stopped.
Several Different Landscaping Shrubs Are Available to Beautify a Garden
Lilac shrubs will add beauty to a garden without adding a lot of extra work. These bushes have vibrant flowers against their leafy green bases. Some of these bushes will grow to a height of six feet so these can make beautiful borders in place of fences. A gardener does not have to worry about painting fences when these beautiful plants are used in a yard. Lilac bushes are landscaping shrubs that also add a wonderful aroma to the garden. Lilac bushes need care, but they are not difficult to cultivate.
Roses can be used as landscaping shrubs, and they share many of the favorable characteristics of the lilac bushes. Roses of course have a wonderful aroma that enhances any garden. Some roses grow to a height of eight to ten feet. These can be used to provide a barrier in a garden that is splendid. This landscaping shrub could be used to replace a fence or wall while adding beauty and aroma. Roses do need care throughout the year, but there are many guides for cultivating roses. With proper pruning and care, cultivating roses should not be a difficult chore for the average gardener.
