Several different companies sponsor lingerie parties so women can gather with some friends and acquaintances in someone's home to have a leisurely look at the available lingerie while mixing with friends. The lingerie offered at these parties usually differs from that available in the stores so these parties are also an opportunity to buy something different. The lingerie available at these parties can vary widely in price.

A lingerie party is often organized by a representative of a company. There are several companies that train people to run these events. This can be a good way for someone to earn a living or add some spending money depending on the time and energy invested. Some companies contend that those working for them make a couple of thousand dollars a month for organizing two or three parties a week. These parties can be organized as stand alone events, or they can be held in conjunction with other events such as a bridal shower.

A Lingerie Party Mixes Business and Pleasure

A lingerie party is not just an event to buy, but these events usually have food for the guests that are invited. Organizers usually try to make the event fun so they provide games for the guests. These games are similar to the types of games that guests would play at a baby or bridal shower. In other words, these games are just for fun, nothing intellectual or strenuous. The companies that specialize in lingerie parties have kits or planning tools for those interested in hosting or organizing a party. These tools make it very easy for someone to sponsor a party. The guest list, invitations and refreshments are usually the only responsibilities of the host.

Some of the companies have a local representative that will work with the hostess to organize the party. This representative will have experience in this work so any lingerie party they plan should be a success. Other companies allow a hostess to purchase the information for planning a party from them and eliminate a middle man. A hostess that invites guests and sells the company products will receive a discount on her purchases. Many people have thoroughly enjoyed participating in a lingerie party while doing their shopping at the same time.
