Low Carb Diet Recipe: Appetizers, Cakes and Much More

Lobster Salad In Endive
The ingredients that go into this low carb diet recipe includes ¾ pound fresh cooked lobster meat, small diced, ½ cup good mayonnaise, ½ cup small-diced celery (1 stalk), one tablespoon capers, drained, one and a half tablespoons minced fresh dill, pinch of kosher salt as well as pinch freshly ground black pepper and finally, four heads Belgian endive, all of which would make for a total of 1037 calories.
To prepare this appetizer using the low carb diet recipe one would need to combine the lobster, mayonnaise, celery, dill, salt, capers as well as pepper and using a sharp knife, cut off the base of the endive and take apart the leaves. Each end of the endive leaf may be filled with lobster salad, using a teaspoon to achieve this and then the whole dish may be arranged on a platter and be served.
Flourless Lemon Almond Cake
Another low carb diet recipe is that of the Flourless Lemon Almond cake. This recipe requires the following ingredients: 1 1/3 cups blanched slivered almonds, eight tablespoons of Splenda, four large separated eggs, five tablespoons of packed grated lemon peel, and half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and use butter and flour to grease a nine inch diameter cake pan that has 1 ½ inch high side. The bottom of the pan should be lined with waxed paper and almonds should be finely ground and then add two tablespoons of sugar into the processor.
Then, the yolks should be combined and two tablespoons of sugar, lemon peel, cinnamon and salt should be combined in a medium bowl. Beat this till it turns thick with the help of an electric mixer for about two minutes and stir in almond mixture. Beat the egg whites with clean beaters in a large bowl until there are soft peaks and gradually add four tablespoons of sugar and beat until it turns stiff, but not dry. One would then need to fold big spoonfuls of whites into the almond mixture and then gently fold in the remaining whites. Following this, one can bake until the tester that has been inserted into the center comes out clean, for about half an hour. This low carb diet recipe should help in making a tasty and healthy cake.
