Mothers Day Coloring Pages For Personal Greetings
By Wendy Simons

Every year, the second Monday in May is set aside to honor moms everywhere with one of the most popular activities for children is making mom or grandma a home made card. There is no shortage of Mother's Day coloring pages that can be found in stores or online, which can be printed out, colored by the children, and then placed in an envelope for their favorite mom.

For school teachers, there is an abundance of Mother's Day coloring pages offered free that could be printed off in black and white and then copied so every child in the class can participate in making a personalized card for their mother. Perhaps a selection of five or six different designs can be used to provide a variety for the children to choose from to honor their mother on her special day.

With so many designs and pictures available as Mother's Day coloring pages it may be hard to make a decision of which one to use, but there is sure to be one that you would like to use. Many choose the picture and color it to their liking and then paste it to a piece of heavier paper, such as construction paper, and then use it as a gift card. This would be a great class project for younger students in school. With age being no limit, it can also be used for pre-schoolers.

Let Kids Choose The Coloring Page

To increase the interest and enthusiasm for the children in coloring a potential card, let them review several choices of Mother's Day coloring pages and decide which one they want to use to send to grandma or to other relatives who qualify for a Mother's Day greeting.

Many times Mother's Day coloring pages are included in coloring books, along with other pictures, or the child may find a picture in a coloring book that they would like to use as a Mother's Day greeting. Perhaps a picture pertaining to a special interest of the recipient, such as a picture of a cat if mom has cats can be used along with an added Mother's Day message, saying the picture is from the cat.

Dads will need to help the little ones to keep the surprise from mom as they search for Mother's Day coloring pages either online, in coloring books or other sources, which the children can color to show their feelings towards mom on her special day.
