Mothers Day Quotes; Wonderful Things to Say to Mom on Her Special Day
By Wendy Simons

Middle of the year brings us the time to remember how great our parents are. There's one day for our mothers and another for fathers. Mothers' day especially, is a day never to forget, simply because it is the day we can show how much we love her, and how much we appreciate what she has done for us. This doesn't mean that the rest of the year you mistreat her or something, it's just that on this day you express your love to her more than usual. Mother's Day quotes is one way of putting down into words of how much you care and love for her. Most of the times, people buy cards and write these Mother's Day quotes on them. In general, there are two different types of Mother's Day quotes. First is the one written by you, and second, those written by famous authors and philosophers.

It is a day we show them how much we cherish their toil, sacrifice, and all their hardship in bringing us up. During school times, we used to paint beautiful cards and write short notes. As we grow, imagination grows too. In that case, a card can be simply made by oneself too, rather than buying one at a store. And in the card, putting down your most imaginative and beautiful Mother's Days quotes would be the best thing to do. Mother's Day quotes are not really poems, because they are far shorter and precise. Most of the times, a simple one-line quote can tell everything that a ten-line poem can.

Some Famous Quotes

If you can't think of any Mother's Day quotes by yourself, then you can write those by famous authors. These quotes can easily be found online or in certain mothers' day books and magazines. One of the most famous ones would be from Abraham Lincoln, a famous man of our time. He said “I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” Another famous one would be from John Erskine, who said “Woman in the home has not yet lost her dignity, in spite of Mother's Day, with its offensive implication that our love needs an annual nudging, like our enthusiasm for the battle of Bunker Hill.”

These quotes were not written by these famous writers as mere sentences. They are basically meaningful expressions and were articulated in remembrance of their own mothers. If you are not interested in these ones, you can always look out for other alternative forms of Mother's Day quotes, such as funny, inspirational, or satiric ones.
