Why stick to the iPod Nano when you can get more features for a lower price in an iRiver Clix, MP3 player? The Nano comes in a 2GB version, but it has none of the iRiver MP3 player's features. This small and light MP3 player by iRiver features FM radio, voice recording, and a host of other features. It also plays video and will allow you to read text files that you might want to transfer from your home computer!

The iRiver Clix MP3 player comes in a 2GB version and 4GB version, priced at $169.99 and $199.99 respectively. The iPod Nano comes in three versions, but the 2GB and 4GB versions are priced at $149.00 and $199.00 respectively. Apple still hasn't gotten up to date and added to the feature set of its products (unless you want to count the video iPod).

The iRiver Clix MP3 player does what it can't: it allows you to listen to FM radio with up to 20 presets AND plays video, unlike the Nano. It's far cheaper than a Nano when you consider the voice recording, radio, and video capabilities – coupled with the ability to play actual MP3 files and WMA-format files. It's also OGG compatible, and you can play Flash games on it as well. There's even an alarm-clock feature too!

This system has a nice 2.2-inch color screen and weighs a mere 2.5 ounces, and the iRiver Clix has a rather unique method for navigating the menus known as the D-Click system. You might want to look up one of the numerous online reviews for an in-depth explanation or visit the website to learn exactly how it works.

This little MP3 player by iRiver also has 25 hours of battery life on one charge, which is pretty generous compared to some iPods. However, expect it to be somewhat lower in practice, as no matter what the specs are for any MP3 player, actual battery life is generally a bit lower than what the specs say (whether it's by Apple or any other manufacturer).

The iRiver Clix also plays MPEG-4 format files, which is the latest compression format for video files. The docking station is available separately for $69.99, and there is also an accessory pack available for $29.99. Give this iRiver MP3 player a try, and you won't be sorry that you did!
