Correct Dog Nutrition Rules
By M. A. Fulmar
Having a dog for a pet can be fun, but you must know every single thing about taking care of the dog before you get one. One of the most important subjects is dog nutrition. You can't deny that dogs eat a lot, and since they are active animals, they need good nutrition. If you are a beginner, you should look for experts and experienced dog trainers, for these people are very familiar with every essential thing as regards to dogs, from basic dog nutrition to advanced supplements and so on.
Dog nutrition is generally different for every breed of dogs, and that is why you should always be aware of what your dog can eat and what it can't. Certain breeds of dogs do not require much nutrition with calories, while others do. Overfeeding can cause obesity in many dogs if you are not aware or stick to the proper diet. Dog nutrition intake should be given according to the daily activities that your dog partakes in.
Daily Feeding and Supplements
Proper dog nutrition should contain all the nutrients and vitamins needed by the dog, instead of just having what you think the dog should have, or what you can afford. Even if you can't afford good food with a good dietary level, there are still lots of affordable dog nutrition sold in the market, especially as canned or packed foods.
The first rule is that you should be aware of the most common form of the dog nutrition chart that can be found online or at pet clinics and public service centers. You can find information on the essential food and dietary requirements, which will guide you on the most balanced mixture of food containing all the needed nutrition for your breed of dog.
Generally all breeds of dogs are very active, and they need good nutritional intake to keep them moving. Everyday you have to keep track of what they eat and make sure that you include food containing nutrients such as Vitamins A, B-complex, C, D, E and K.
Another dog nutrition rule is that your dog's food should also contain all the necessary nutrients that the dog needs in recovering from any injuries, digestion, blood circulation, and so on. This would include proteins, carbohydrates, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, boron, chromium, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, sulphur, zinc and so on.
