Tooth pain usually occurs when one has cavities that have reached the nerve of the tooth and/or has become infected. There are other causes also, but this is one of the most common of all. When this occurs, the treatment would depend upon the diagnosis of the doctor – often your pain would end with having the tooth extracted. However, until you reach the doctor you will need to control the pain.
What Can Give You Efficient Tooth Pain Relief From The Shelf Of Your Kitchen?
It so happens that toothaches strike mostly at night when there is little than you can do other than swallow a few pain killers and wait for the morning. However, what if you do not have painkillers handy? What if you do not have a medicine shop close by? How do you make it through the night with a toothache?
No need to panic – there are a number of ingredients that are commonly used in the kitchen, which can provide extremely efficient tooth pain relief. Some of these home remedies are described below:
1. Clove – one of the common remedies for toothache is clove oil. In case you do not have clove oil, a few cloves would also serve the purpose. Take one in your mouth and slowly push the juice you squeeze by biting it towards the tooth, which pains you. Clove is a natural analgesic and you will find your pain diminishing in no time.
2. Asafetida – another great tooth pain relief help comes from the modest asafetida. Take a pinch and paste it with a little lemon juice. Heat this mixture until warm and then using a cotton swab, apply this juice to the affected portion. The tooth pain relief is fast and total.
3. Garlic – the common garlic is another effective tooth pain relief provider. You will need a clove of garlic slightly mashed and mixed with a pinch of rock (black) salt to be applied on the tooth that pains. This remedy not only treats the pain, but also sometimes treats the problem that affects the tooth.
4. Pepper – take a pinch of pepper and mix it with a little juice form mashed cloves. Take this mixture and add to the painful tooth for almost instant tooth pain relief. This is best used when the cavities are large and bleeding.
These are but a few home tooth pain relief ingredients that anyone can use anytime from their own kitchen. It is always good to know a few simple home remedies so you could be prepared for any eventuality when you do not have immediate access to a drug store and/or doctor.
