Maintain a Daily Routine
One of the best things you can do to help prevent RLS, is to maintain a daily routine. You should more or less go to bed around the same time and always get plenty of rest. Adding exercise to your daily routine will help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with restless leg syndrome. You should consistently stretch your legs at the start of the day and again before you climb into bed. This will help work out any kinks you might have in your legs and calves. Drinking less caffeine and avoiding alcohol has been known to help people cope with their symptoms. Walking is a great form of exercise to add to any daily routine, and will do wonders for the restless legs you have been trying to avoid. Treatment of RLS symptoms is available, and there are many support groups filled with people who have gone through the same thing.
