Certainly everyone knows romance is not just for Valentine's Day. Doing something kind, loving, and considerate for your partner is something that can enhance a relationship every day. Chocolate has always been considered an aphrodisiac; that's why candy is a classic romantic gift.

Both men and women enjoy sweets, but this snack does not have to come in a heart-shaped box. Some high-quality chocolate ice cream or gelato is a good treat. In cold weather, cocoa by a fire or a candle is pure romance. It makes you feel good and ready for romance if you know you look good. Part of looking good is taking care of your skin, and taking some spa time.

For some people a spa gift certificate can say pure romance. What could be more relaxing and indulgent than a facial or a massage? But, of course, anyone can create a spa environment at home. Men, especially, may be more willing to enjoy a massage or an aromatherapy treatment in the privacy of the home rather than among a bunch of spa patrons. Promise your mate five free massages at his or her request. Draw up little certificates to make the gift pure romance. Consider compliments too, like a book on massage, and scented oils or lotions.

Of course, pure romance does not have to cost any money. In fact, knowing that someone took the time to prepare something that money cannot buy is oftentimes a more touching gift than something from the store. Think about cooking a romantic dinner for your partner. Make sure you have plenty of time, a nice quiet venue, and no disturbances. It can be as simple as spaghetti by candlelight or as elaborate as a five-course riverside picnic.

Whatever you do, make sure your partner does not have to help – that he or she is the honoree of the evening. Next, remember that kind words can be the purest romance. Even a quick, but affectionate, email in the middle of the day to tell your loved one how you feel is a wonderful gift that will make anyone feel great. No matter what, be sure to say kind words to your partner every day for that is a wonderful gift.
