In a perfect world, every home would be powered by home solar power. Why send money to an electric company for electricity when you can get it directly from the sun's rays, a light source we have a given right as human beings to accept and use?

However, when you consider how much money you send off to the electric company each month, home solar power is a no-brainer.

In fact, you could probably learn how to install the cells yourself so that you can save yourself any labor fees. Imagine, saving some money for the installation and being able to say goodbye to your over-charging electric company once and for all.

Open your yellow pages to the page that advertises companies that provide home solar power. Call every one in your area to get some kind of idea what home solar power costs to install, operate and maintain. By calling everyone, you can tell right off the bat if you're getting the run-around and you'll have a great tool with which to haggle with when it comes down to how much the company charges for the initial installation.

Don't pay any money to an electric company if you don't have to. Instead, have home solar power installed on your home and save that money for something more important. Who knows, after enough time, you can save enough money to move into a larger, and more luxurious, home. Just make sure it has home solar power, too.

Whatever you choose to do with the money, you're going to end up with a lot of it when you figure how much you'll save. Take your electric bill for one month and multiply that over a year. Chances are, you'll come up with a pretty nice sum. Imagine having all that money in your savings account instead of paying it to some electric company.
