Eating foods rich in zinc, vitamins A, C and D, and protein will give your body what it needs to defend itself naturally from stretch marks. Your body also needs plenty of water to function properly and dehydrated skin is fragile and can tear easily.

Regular exercise will help control weight and improves circulation. Good circulation is necessary for your body to get the nutrients to the skin for repair and general health. Nicotine and caffeine can impair circulation and absorption of essential nutrients so these should be consumed in limited quantities if not eliminated altogether. You can also massage areas of your body that store fat with a brush or loofah to increase circulation. Using a moisturizer every day will also help to improve the elasticity of your skin making it able to withstand stretching without breaking and forming stretch marks.
