Valentine's Day is a celebration of love. This day commemorates St. Valentine, a man who died to help lovers according to the legend. The ruler of his country decided that he did not want the men to get married because he thought that they would not be great soldiers if they were distracted by love and marriage. St. Valentine was a priest who could marry the soldiers, and he went against the ruler. When the ruler found out that he had been marrying the soldiers and their sweethearts, he threw St. Valentine in jail. After some time, this awful ruler executed St. Valentine because he would not change his views or his religion.

That was many years ago, but people around the world celebrate St. Valentine's Day on February the 14th every year. There are many traditions that are continued on February 14th every year. One great way to celebrate this joyful day is to make Valentine crafts for those people that you care about. There are some great Valentine crafts that can be made to send to special people. Valentine crafts should continue with the themes, colors and images that are important to everybody on February 14th. The colors are usually pink, red and white. The images include hearts, flowers, bows, arrows and Cupid, the mythological god of love.

Material for Valentine Crafts Are Available in Stores

The crafts shops will have many materials ready for talented people to make Valentine crafts weeks before this special day. Picture frames decorated for Valentine's Day are great Valentine crafts. The craft shops will have lots of hearts, flowers and Cupid figures to add to the picture frames. These shops will probably also have some frames that are already colored pink and red. The combination of the colors and the images will make magnificent Valentine crafts.

Another great Valentine craft will be vases, lamps and other useful items that can be decorated with the themes, colors and images that remind everyone of Valentine's Day. The vases might be decorated especially for a special person, and then filled with flowers, a traditional gift on this great day. Valentine crafts are usually very individual expressions of love, and every person should try to think of a unique way to use the themes, colors and images that will take the regular items and make them unique. Valentine crafts could be special for many years to come, so people should really try to create a unique gift for those that they love.
