Residential Water Filter: For When You Just Don't Trust The Treatment Plant
By Tony Cunningham
When you turn on your kitchen faucet, water flows freely, but where does that water come from? The water from your tap at home comes from a water treatment plant, that purifies the water so that it is safe for human consumption. However, how do you know that the water treatment plants are effectively removing all of those impurities that could potentially be harmful; maybe not now but further on down the line? You really can't be sure, as once the water treatment plant is through purifying, the water still needs to make it to your home. What if impurities collect in the water during this trip to your kitchen faucet? That's when it may be necessary to buy a residential water filter.
Most Homes Have Them
If you live in a home, then ask the builder, or the person you bought it from if there is a residential water filter on your home water supply. If there isn't, you can have one installed for not that much money. If you find that it does cost quite a bit, you have to weigh that cost against the money you'd normally spend on bottled water and other bottled drinks because you're afraid to drink the water that's freely available from your tap. When this is considered, the money is well worth it.
A residential water filter can be store bought and installed yourself or you can have it installed for you. If you don't own a home and you are renting, ask your landlord about having a residential water filter installed in your apartment or rental home. There are many impurities in water, whether it has been treated or not, and you can never go wrong with a residential water filter. It is great for your health, and your peace of mind, because you know that you are actually being proactive as far as purifying your drinking water goes.
Some people take to buying water coolers for their homes where delivery drivers will drop off large jugs of water as replacements, all for a monthly fee. Then, there are others who buy gallons upon gallons of bottled water. Both are a waste of money when you consider that you get water for free (or for a small water bill each month) and it comes right out of your tap. Simply use a residential water filter to purify your home drinking water and then you'll never have to worry about drinking impure water ever again.
