Capturing those Special Moments: Wedding Photography and Video
By Andrew Kelly
When you are getting ready for one of the biggest events of your life - your wedding - it is important to make sure that you have the necessary equipment to capture and record every moment of the wedding and the reception afterwards. Wedding photography and video are the two ways for you to keep a piece of time with your forever.
You want the best in quality when choosing wedding photography and video. Here are some tips and suggestions for getting what you want for your big day.
Scenic Wedding Photography
For those of you who want to escape from the tradition of having a wedding in a church, there are other alternatives for places to exchange vows. Escape to a beach, lake or garden to experience not only the joy of promising your life to the one you love, but also to take in the naturalistic beauty around you. This is the best way make your wedding photography and video as magical and memorable, to have the ocean or a sparkling lake as your backdrop.
Professional vs. Amateur
Depending upon your budget, you will have to decide whether or not you want your wedding photography and video to be done professionally, or by a friend or family member who does freelance photography on the side. The choice is up to you. If you want to ensure that the quality and professionalism is present in the photographer and in the pictures, then choosing a professional who owns a local business may be your best bet.
On the other hand; if you are looking to save some money, then you could ask a friend or family member who as a good eye for wedding photography and video to do the honors. This also may be a good choice, as a friend of family member knows you personally, and can capture funny and cute moments amongst the wedding ceremony and reception. This may prove to me more worthwhile then artistic professional photos. Again, the choice is up to you and your fiancé on what is best for your budget and your taste.
In the end, whatever you choose for your wedding photography and video is entirely up to you. What matters most is not how much you spend, or getting the “best” photographer, but capturing unique moments that represent your wedding day that you will cherish for a lifetime.
