Wedding Bouquets Accent a Beautiful Dress
By Barbara Kelly

Flip through the bridal magazines to view the latest fashions in wedding wear, and you will also see beautiful wedding bouquets that provide a perfect accent to each dress. The brides hold the wedding bouquets with care as they appear in glorious locations around the world. The wedding bouquets come in various sizes, colors and arrangements. Some of the wedding bouquets are quite small with delicate flowers chosen perfectly for the occasion. Other wedding bouquets are large, elaborate and overflowing with large flowers. The dresses just would not be the same without these wonderful flower arrangements.

The dresses are usually shades of white, but the wedding bouquets come in different colors. There are pure white arrangements with delicate roses and lilies that do not contrast in color. These pure white flowers contrast dramatically in texture. The smooth white of the satin in the dress contrasts with the petals of each delicate flower. Dramatic contrasts are made by flamboyant designers who add some red roses to a wedding bouquet. These deep red flowers are a wonderful contrast against the white of a wedding dress. Other wedding bouquets are made with soft pastel flowers that also offer a great contrast against a white wedding dress.

Wedding Bouquets Have a Special Wedding Role

Wedding bouquets look magnificent as the bride walks down the aisle to meet the groom, but these bunches of flowers also have a special role for the wedding party. Once the reception starts there are traditions that everyone waits for after the dinner is done. The group gathers at one point for the tossing of the wedding bouquet. The single female friends present at the reception gather in one section to wait for one of the favorite traditions. The bride with her bouquet in hand turns her back to her friends who wait for her next move.

The bride suddenly tosses the bouquet over her head to the friends standing behind her. Most of the friends grab frantically for the bouquet as it flies through the air. The bouquet at this point becomes a symbol of the next bride. The friend that catches the bouquet is supposed to be the next one to have a wedding of her own. One friend catches the bouquet and congratulations come from the others. There are no statistics available to substantiate the claim, but at that moment the lady who caught the bouquet believes in the power.
