How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Music

Music is a very integral part of any wedding, which is why the bride and groom should pay special attention to choosing the perfect wedding music. Music is used throughout the day to serve as atmosphere for certain special moments during the wedding. This goes far beyond the traditional wedding march. There are several occasions when wedding music is needed and the bride and groom need to choose the music for every occasion.

The music should reflect the personal tastes and styles of the bride and groom. This means that if a bride and groom enjoy rock music, then it should be incorporated somehow into their wedding. The same can be said for any type of music. The wedding music is an expression, just as they are expressing their love for one another. This wedding is completely about the bride and groom and the music is no exception.

When Wedding Music is Necessary

Obviously, there is wedding music played during the ceremony. The bridal party generally enters to one song, while the bride enters to her own song. There will also be a song playing as the bride, groom, and wedding party exit the ceremony area. Gone are the days when the bride used the traditional wedding march. Some brides do still choose this option because it is what she wants on her wedding day, but many other brides are using this as an opportunity to choose music that fits their personal taste. The wedding music during the ceremony can be classical or country and have lyrics or not. It is all up to the bride and groom.

There are several occasions for the bride and groom to choose special wedding music for the reception. The majority of these are specific events that the bride and groom want to share with their guests. This includes the song they will be first introduced to as they enter the reception site. Other music to consider is a song for the bouquet toss, cake cutting, garter toss, or any other special event planned for the reception. The events of a wedding are largely based on culture and the appropriate wedding music should reflect this.

Dance Music

Other wedding music to consider is for special dances. This will include the first dance between the bride and groom. Some brides and grooms will choose to have a special song for the bride to dance with her father, the groom to dance with his mother, and even for the wedding party to dance together. Each of these deserves special wedding music that holds special meaning to the bride and groom.

The wedding music that the bride and groom choose will help to express themselves to their guests. The music they choose should reflect their personal style while also helping to display the important events of the day.
