Choosing the Perfect Women's Handbags
By Francis Sinclair

Being a woman today means that you have lots of things to carry and absolutely no place to put them. There are ever more gadgets that even the most techno-phobic of us can't live without. Unlike the men, we don't have the luxury of stuffing everything into our pockets. In the first place not very many women's clothes come with pockets big enough to fit more than a couple of quarters. And anyway who wants to have unsightly bulges around your hips? Nope, the only way to have everything you need is to have a handbag. The only problem is choosing one that's perfect for all occasions.

The Key to Color and Style

In a perfect world every woman would have a perfectly organised closet with all her outfits neatly hung and the accessories to match. That however is pure fantasy, not many of us can have a purse or a handbag that matches each outfit perfectly. That's why it's so important when looking at women's handbags to think first and foremost of versatility.
Some women's handbags are adorable and may match one outfit perfectly. But how often is that outfit worn? Probably not often enough that the handbag in mind is a worthwhile buy. Think of the shades in your closet; are they pastels or solid colors? Choose a handbag that will contrast with your wardrobe staples yet at the same time doesn't clash. A deep purple handbag, for example, goes nicely with softer shades of beige, pink, and light blues.

The unfortunate thing about women's handbags is that, just like everything in fashion, they go out of style. Who wants to be seen carrying something that makes them seem older than they are? The best way to choose when looking at the style of women's handbags is to look at styles that are timeless. Look at what's new and then see if they have been in style in the decades before. If they have been popular before, chances are they will always be popular.

How Many Is Too Many?

For those of us on a budget it seems frivolous to have more than two or three handbags. The price of women's handbags would seem to reinforce the idea that it really isn't worth spending money on a handbag. Unlike jeans and t-shirts which you may have dozens upon dozens of, you only have a few handbags. Have two practical everyday handbags that go with everything you have and can fit your day-to-day essentials. This lets you free up more money to splurge on cute clutches, shimmers, beaded evening bags and maybe even a designer something or other for those really special occasions.
